Enrollment & Training Policies

These terms outline expectations for conduct, safety, payment, and participation in Southern Colorado Crane Academy training programs.

1. Eligibility & Enrollment

Students must provide accurate information during enrollment and be physically capable of safely participating in crane training activities. Southern Colorado Crane Academy (SCCA) reserves the right to deny enrollment or remove any participant whose behavior, condition, or actions create a safety risk.

2. Payment & Refund Policy

  • Payment is required prior to or at the start of training unless otherwise agreed.
  • Refunds may be limited or unavailable once training has begun.
  • Emergency withdrawals may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • SCCA is not responsible for travel, lodging, or related expenses.

3. Safety & Conduct

  • All instructor directions must be followed immediately.
  • Unsafe behavior, horseplay, or disregard for safety rules may result in removal.
  • Drug or alcohol use is strictly prohibited.
  • Required PPE must be worn at all times in training areas.

4. Training Environment

  • Training is conducted outdoors in typical Colorado conditions when safe.
  • SCCA may adjust schedules, equipment use, or curriculum for safety or operations.
  • Seat time is earned through safe and responsible behavior.

5. Certification & Employment

  • Completion of training does not guarantee certification or employment.
  • Certification testing is administered by third-party organizations.
  • Students must demonstrate competency to be recommended for testing.

6. Policy Updates

These terms may be updated as the academy grows or industry standards change. Participation in training indicates acceptance of current terms.
